While still in his graduation classes Asrar Siddiqi, got fascinated with teaching and went through various courses to acquire knowledge and skills needed for an effective teacher.
1965 brought the most significant change in his career and Asrar H. Siddiqi joined banking with Habib Bank Limited.
While in training young Asrar faced difficult problem of absence of literature on Pakistani banking and related matters. He got determined to do something about it. This book is treated as the most reliable book on the subject, and by now its 7th revised and enlarged edition has been published in early 2003. The work did not end here. The books entitled 'Commercial Correspondence & Basic English', 'Business Communication' and 'Finance of Foreign Trade & Exchange' have been published one after the other. All these books are revised and updated after every few years so that the readers have access to the latest development in the respective areas.

The 'Principles and Practice of Management' is the. latest addition to the published works of Asrar H. Siddiqi. Two more books are to be added soon to this impressive list.
Doctrates in International Finance and Human Resource Management from abroad have provided him flip to remain a ferocious reader. Besides an overflowing pen the almighty Allah has bestowed upon him a very facile tongue. Whether it be a course or seminar at Institute of Bankers or a course of M.B.A., at some Business School in Pakistan, eager to learn participants and students throng his sessions. His colleagues in banking are also his admirers.
People wonder as to how a busy Senior Executive in banking like Dr. Asrar H. Siddiqi finds time for writing, discoursing and guiding research scholars. It seems he has a day much longer than even 36 hours.
