No religion permits violence, aggression, persecution and discrimination against people of different faiths, as peace, humanity and equality form the basis of every religion. It is the followers of religion who are responsible for augmenting religious polarizaiton, schism, intolerance, extremism and voilence. Christianity, Islam and Judaism, as the three holy religions, have also their following in Europe and in the Muslim world but then why is it so that all the three religious communities are in conflict, particularly on the issue of Jerusalem and there is no consensus on their part for preventing the surge of relgious intolerance, extremism, radicalization and terrorism. There is no conflict between Islam and Christianity as the two religions, which have a following of the majority of people of Europe, have religious freedom. That Muslims are free to go to mosques and religious schools till the time, intolerance, hate and negative things are not propagated against other faiths from such places of worship and religious learning. Unfortunately, the problem is with those who claim that they represent Islam and Christianity and provide a view which is parochial and try to depict clash between the two ideologies. Islam as the fastest growing religion in Europe is considered as a major source of threat particularly by the right-wing groups. Obsessed with paranoia based on historical events and cleavages starting from crusades and culminating into the Ottoman conquest of parts of central Europe and the Balkans, the incremental rise in Muslim population in Europe, particularly after the end of the Second World War, a sense of insecurity looms large in some segments of European populations. A sense of "alienation" is present in a section of Muslim Community in Europe. Assimilation, integration and multiculturalism, which in the last few decades emerged as a source of discourse in Europe seems to have made headway in furthering debate about Islam and Muslims in Europe, Yet,t somehow, the feeling among Muslims about "Alienation" continues.
